We collaborate with industry peers to standardise sustainability practices and prioritise human rights, as outlined in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, within our sustainability strategy. Spring works with vendors to address environmental and social impacts in the supply chain, including ensuring fair working conditions, implementing pollution controls, and sourcing sustainable materials.

Spring is aware of its duty and ability to guide the apparel and textile industry towards a more sustainable and circular direction. Spring strongly believes that collaboration is the key and best strategy. It launches several transformative projects/programs and puts significant efforts into others that will become reality soon. Here are key milestones for Spring's sustainability efforts:
Sustainable Material Sourcing and Innovation
- Increased the use of sustainable raw materials by 40% across the entire production line in 2 years compared to the 2021 financial year.
- Achieved 75% MMCFs (Man-Made Cellulosic Fibres) Canopy Green Shirt hot button approval, targeting 100% by 2026.
- Sourced 100% of our cotton from responsible/sustainable sources.
- Established sustainable material innovation partnerships together with stakeholders.
- Implemented sustainable practices such as vegetable dye and ozone wash within our supply chain.
Circularity and Partnerships
- Piloted circularity collaborations for tangible, scalable results.
- Partnered with the Women’s Solidarity Foundation (KADAV) to support and empower women through our circularity project.
- Introduced Digital Product Passports (DPPs) across our operations.
- Designed, developed, and shipped 10% of products in 3D and ensured cost/time saving, creating a stress-free environment, reputation, sustainability and collaboration.
Environmental Impact and Carbon Footprint
- Calculated and reported our corporate carbon footprint (Scope 1, 2, and 3) since 2021 in accordance with ISO 14064 and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
- Achieved carbon reduction targets, decoupling growth from our carbon footprint, with 20% of our suppliers using renewable energy sources such as solar, purchased renewables, and wind in production in Türkiye.
- Shifted from standard electricity to I-REC certified renewable energy contracts at our HQ office.
- Began the phase-out coal program within the supply chain in 2023, now moving forward in our efforts to eliminate coal from our supply chain by 2025.
Supply Chain and Compliance
- Expanded the implementation of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition’s (SAC) Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM) to cover a broader part of our supply chain, increasing the visibility of our supply chain’s environmental performance data.
- Increased FEM verification assessments by 60% compared to the 2021 financial year.
- Performed the ZDHC wastewater test annually for wet facilities, which was not done previously.
- Implemented chemical inventory platforms such as BHIVE, BVE3, Cleanchain, 4sChem+ and Toxclear.
- Our supply chain exceeded legal requirements, achieving certifications and participating in capacity-building platforms including but not limited to GOTs, GRS, RCS, OCS, BCI, OEKO-TEX, ISO, and Regenagri.
